Hello There. I am a Birmingham Alabama based web developer with a passion for creating interactive and engaging front-end user experiences. I have a passion for all things interactive and have grown to love building custom widgets and functionality using jQuery and CSS. I also thoroughly enjoy implementing effective and efficient back end systems. After all, what good is a pretty user interface if the site doesn’t do anything useful.
If you share these passions, or if you’re looking to learn some of these technologies, you’ve come to the right place. I have quite a few tutorials in the works which I’ll be posting that share some of my favorite techniques. You can check them out over at my tutorials page. I’ll also try and keep the blog updated with the newest web trends and technologies that I come across so check back often!
If you want to see some of the work that I’ve done, you can check out the newest sites below or head over to my portfolio page to see a more extensive portfolio of my work.
HTML : The framework for all the work I do. Clean syntactic markup is the key to an efficient and effective website.
CSS : The beautiful packaging for the markup. CSS styling turns the functional markup into a beautiful front-end user interface.
jQuery : A favorite of many a great developer. This light and flexible library allows me to create fun and interactive experiences.
WordPress : More than just a blog engine. Wordpress has become a very powerful CMS with an extremely user friendly admin dashboard.
php : The scripting language of choice. When combined with MySQL, php is in charge of all the behind the scenes action.
MySQL : The most popular open source database. MySQL allows for the storage and retrieval of all the information that I could need.
Photoshop : The pixel pushing software of choice. I use Photoshop to create designs and translate them into pixel perfect layouts.
Magento : A powerful e-commerce platform. Built on the powerful Zend framework, Magento is a great, enterprise level, e-commerce solution.
